The job duties for the position of *Pediatric Speech Therapist* are listed below.*Job Summary*:*Note: This is a PRN role*The *Pediatric Speech Therapist's *main function is to provide coordinated speech therapy to patients/clients of all age groups under the supervision of a Licensed Speech Language Pathologist.*Duties and Responsibilities: ** Administers the speech therapy treatment plan as developed by the Speech Language Pathologist.* Applies concepts of infection control and standard precautions in performing patient/client care activities.* Accepts clinical assignments that are consistent with education and competence to care for patients/clients.* Uses effective interpersonal relations and communication skills to provide patient/client and caregiver education.* Participates in the Agency sponsored in-service training.* Promotes compliance with all fiscal intermediary and/or other third-party payors, through education, coaching, and other assistance, as necessary.* Demonstrates commitment, professional growth, and competency.*Qualifications/Experience:*Education: Graduate from a school of speech therapy assistant with a bachelors degree in speech therapy.Licensure: Active state license as a speech therapy assistant. Current drivers license.Experience: One year experience as a speech therapy assistant, preferred. Proof of current CPR certification and Hepatitis profile.Transportation: Reliable transportation and valid auto liability insurance.*Language skills:** Ability to read and write English.* *Bilingual Preferred**Physical Requirements:*The ability to do heavy lifting, bending, pulling, pushing, and standing. Prolonged standing and walking required. Requires working under some stressful conditions to meet deadlines and patient/client needs and to meet patient/client and family individualized psychosocial needs.
