HCA Healthcare is seeking a part-time Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our skilled team. This position involves providing respiratory care services in accordance with specific physician's orders, department policies and procedures. The role is vital in managing ventilation support, administering aerosol-based medications, and monitoring respiratory equipment in a patient-centric manner. At HCA Healthcare, you will be part of a dedicated team that closely works together to improve patient outcomes and enhance the quality of life for those we serve. Administer and manage inhalants, operate mechanical ventilators, oxygen tents, and aerosol generators according to the respiratory protocol and physician's orders. Monitor patient's physiological responses to therapy such as vital signs, arterial blood gases, and blood chemistry changes. Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records according to established protocols. Maintain respiratory equipment to ensure it is functioning safely and efficiently. Educate patients and families about respiratory treatments and maintenance regimes.
