Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule
Monday to Friday, 7 AM - 3 PM Job Description The Catheterization
Laboratory Technician II is an experienced member of the cath lab
team, proficient in supporting a wide range of diagnostic and
interventional cardiac procedures. This role involves meticulous
preparation of the lab, equipment, and supplies, ensuring accurate
patient documentation, and maintaining a stringent sterile
technique throughout procedures. The Technician II also serves as a
valuable resource and preceptor for junior technicians and
technologists, sharing expertise in advanced procedures and
technology while upholding the highest standards of patient safety
and departmental efficiency. Responsibilities Meets expectations of
the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies. Promotes Organizational
Principles of Catholic Healthcare. Ensures major equipment is
operational and documents as required for quality control.
Participates in daily room checks and stocking of supplies.
Collaborates with the procedure team and Cath Lab Lead/Coordinator
to ensure appropriate patient care. Ensures proper patient
information documentation and entry into cath lab computer systems.
Trains and completes competencies to set up and operate cath lab
equipment. Supports and anticipates the needs of the physician
during procedures. Adheres to aseptic technique during procedures
and related organizational policies. Acts as a team resource for
advanced procedures and technology. Required Experience /
Certifications / Licensure Associate’s degree in cardiovascular
technology, radiologic technology, or a healthcare-related field
preferred. 2 years of Diagnostic, Interventional Radiology, or
Cath/EP Lab experience is required. Basic Life Support (BLS)
certification is required. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
(ACLS) certification is required. Pediatric Advanced Life Support
(PALS) certification is required to work at Pediatric facilities.
One of the specified certifications such as RCIS, RCES, RCS, or
