Sales Representative Job Opportunity with The Boon Group, Inc. - An AssuredPartners subsidiary Salary: 45,000 base + commission for first-year targeted earnings of 60,000 with full benefits and a clear path to promotion Experience Level: Junior Level Sales Development/Lead Generation opportunity (1-4 years' sales experience ideal) Office Location: In-office role at 6300 Bridgepoint Parkway, Austin, TX 78730 (work from home is not an option) Work Hours: Typical hours are Monday - Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM CST (we offer flexible schedules) About The Boon Group: The Boon Group is a third-party administrator and benefit wholesaler providing employee benefits, insurance products, and services to hourly employees. Sales Representative Responsibilities: The Big Picture: The Regional Sales Representative will qualify new sales leads primarily by phone to increase sales in our niche market. This role will provide support to the Field Sales Team and Sr. Regional Sales Representatives. Our representatives enjoy competitive base compensation plus commission, and opportunities to progress to outside sales. The Day-to-Day:

  • Prospects leads in the Rep's own territory using leads provided by Boon's advanced software through outbound telephone cold calling and other methods of lead generation
  • Pre-qualifies leads and sets appointments and follows up with potential clients for field sales managers
  • Manages follow up activity and contacts with prospects
  • Utilizes SalesForce and Sales Loft to document activities, track leads and opportunities through the sales process
  • Provides administrative assistance on current sales opportunities with Broker communications and information gathering
  • Learns to specialize in government contracting, a rapidly growing, niche industry
  • Remains up to date on current news, legislation, technologies and trends in the employee benefits industry Sales Representative Qualifications: The Right Person For the Job:
    • Knowledge of sales prospecting, to include cold-calling, presenting and closing techniques
    • Knowledge of group insurance and medical benefit products preferred
    • Demonstrated ability to create and implement strategies that will increase the number of active accounts and acquisition of new accounts
    • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and listening)
    • Internal control responsibilities
    • Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with prospective and existing customers
    • Knowledge of and skill in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
    • Analytical skills to understand complex coverage details and plan documents
    • Ability to motivate self and work independently
    • Exceptional organizational skills, with high attention to detail Sales Representative Required Education & Experience:
      • Bachelors degree preferred or an equivalent amount of college and work experience
      • 1+ years previous inside sales experience preferred
      • Health insurance or employee benefits sales experience preferred
      • Demonstrated persuasion and negotiation skills
      • Experience with database tracking system required; Salesforce experience preferred Licenses/Certifications:
        • Group 1 License - Willing to obtain within 90 days of hire, Boon maintained and paid for Physical Demands:
          • Ability to sit for extended periods
          • Repetitive motions
