National Sales Manager REPORTS TO: Vice President of Government Retail Sales and Operations
JOB SUMMARY: The National Sales Manager is primarilyresponsible for developing federal and state business growth in our NIB assigned and unrestricted markets.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement strategic sales plan focused on growing sales with Federal and State entities.
  • Works closely with advertising and marketing professionals to improve sales promotions, methods, and campaigns.
  • Builds strong relationships with accounts to meet customer needs.
  • Conducts virtual and face to face AbilityOne and State specific procurement training presentations.


    • Creates presentations for business partners, corporate executives, and shareholders
    • Develops and implements successful business development strategies, to include AbilityOne BSC DLA TLS Program.
    • Meets assigned sales budget targets and requirements.
    • Monitors and evaluates industry and customer trends and meets regularly with management and stakeholders to discuss strategy.
    • Establishes key customer relationships and executes new business capture.
    • Maintains understanding of all relevant business opportunities while sustaining assigned market revenue expectations.
    • Establishes and nurtures relationships with key government decision makers, contracting officers and contracting specialists to identify new opportunities.
    • Works with internal contracting department and corporate support teams to implement State and Federal program integration.
    • Continually acquires and evaluates federal agency procurement forecasts for prioritization.
    • Attends approved trade shows, community events and industry meetings.
    • Helps development marketing and sales strategies for new and existing BSC markets.
    • Performs all other sales and management duties as assigned.

      QualificationsQualifications- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

      • Bachelor's degree or 5 years of experience in relevant military or government business.
      • Proven track record of business development, strategic planning, business development, capture, and proposal best practices.
      • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), the AbilityOne Program and regulatory requirements to effectively shape customer requirements.
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
      • Working experience with sales techniques.
      • Proficiency with data analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
      • Experience with CRM software (i.e., Salesforce)
      • Ability to deliver presentations professionally.

        Travel Requirements: Up to 75% of time.

        • Lift up to 50 lbs.
        • Ability to sit and/or stand for several hours at time.
