This highly motivated and results-driven individual will be responsible for developing new leads, communicating with customers, understanding their needs, and offering relevant sales and marketing solutions to drive revenue growth. Position is remote, but based in the Springfield, MO area. Reports to the Vice President Sales & Marketing. - - - - -Key Responsibilities: --- - - - - - - - -Responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities at independent and specialty skate shops. --- - - - - - - - -Comfortable making daily cold calls and speaking with prospects to uncover new business opportunities. --- - - - - - - - -Continually researching potential leads from business directories, web searches, or digital resources. --- - - - - - - - -Possesses an energetic, outgoing, friendly demeanor, that resonates with store owners and operators. --- - - - - - - - -Communicating with customers, making outbound calls to potential customers, and following up on leads. --- - - - - - - - -Creating and maintaining a CRM database of current and potential customers. --- - - - - - - - -Developing strong relationships with key influencers within each assigned customer to secure new business opportunities. --- - - - - - - - -Proactively seeking resolution to customer issues / concerns by working with internal stakeholders and others, to identify a positive outcome for the customer and the company. - --- - - - - - - - -Attending and assisting in coordinating trade shows as required. - - --- - - - - - - - -Other tasks and special projects as communicated / assigned by the Vice President Sales & Marketing. -Requirements: --- - - - - - - - -Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing, or related field preferred, or combination of education and equivalent work experience will be considered. - --- - - - - - - - -3-5 years of sales experience; preferably in the sporting goods category. Inside sales experience highly preferred. --- - - - - - - - -Hunter-mentality with an intense focus on new business development efforts. - --- - - - - - - - -Highly organized with the ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple projects simultaneously. - --- - - - - - - - -Track record of being highly customer focused and building and maintaining strong working relationships. --- - - - - - - - -Excellent written and verbal communication skills. --- - - - - - - - -Proficient in Microsoft - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. --- - - - - - - - -Ability to travel up to 10% of time.
