Job Description This role will be part of the Carbon Black Sales Acceleration Team (CBSAT) within the VMware security business unit. The location of the role will be Austin, Texas. The CBSAT role is a VMware employee that sits in the Austin, Texas San Clemente sales office and drives Carbon Black sales. The CBSAT role carries a team sales quota within a specific territory/segment. This position is responsible for key aspects of the sales cycle including building new opportunities, identifying upsell/cross sell opportunities, and driving sales campaigns with the VMware core sellers. Additional responsibilities include conducting sales enablement with the sales excellence team. It is expected that this role will increase deal win rates, drive awareness with VMware core sellers and build incremental VMware Carbon Black opportunities. This role is a sales conduit between VMware core sales teams and the VMware Carbon Black specialist teams. Primary sales driver for transactional business within an assigned region/segment and partner Pipeline Management: Forecasting and account opportunity detail Sales liaison between VMware inside and field sales and Carbon Black sales rep Execute demand generation programs and drive VMware prospecting campaigns with assigned partner Periodically assist VMware Channel team with new product/ program rollouts to assigned partner Ability to drive and enable Core reps in delivering Value Propositions and executing on all selling aspects for their Solutions Required Skills: Ability to cultivate and build positive relationships 3+ years of direct sales experience selling security software, preferably in a channel model Experience in building/generating sales pipeline and demand generation programs Understanding and experience with channel sales model Consistent track record of quota achievement with a background of exceeding quota Knowledge in selling security solutions/ products; end point security would be preferred Excellent communication skills: phone, presentation and written Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required Preferred Skills: Our team looks for individuals who embody our values of humility, compassion, collaboration, respectfulness, integrity, and good-natured fun.
