- Duties HelpDuties Summary About the Position: Serves as the System Architect and as a multiple domain Cross Modernization Division System Architecture Integrator of one of the following divisions : - Soldier & Maneuver Division System Architect - Aviation Modernization Division System Architect - Protection Modernization Division System Architect - Logistics Modernization Division System Architect - Mission Command Modernization Division System Architect - Fire/Air & Missile Defense Modernization Division System Architect Learn more about this agency Responsibilities - Serves as a Subject Matter Expert on the application of Department of Defense (DoD) and Army Architecture policies, procedures, and implementation standards to the Army Modernization Efforts - Provides oversight for dynamic executable modeling projects in support of the overarching architecture development. - Identify capability gaps, seams and overlaps, and redundancies within and between architecture and measures against organization guidelines, training, materiel, leadership and education, personnel, and facilities spectrum of solution considerations - Provides senior analyst guidance on architecture requirements studies with Army-wide impact, and interface/interoperability requirements with other HQDA and DoD elements. - Formulates and prepares correspondence recommending new or amended Army-wide policy, guidance, and procedures pertaining to Joint and Army concept development activities - Make concise and comprehensive oral and/or written presentations. Specialized experience is defined as experience: 1) Administer/Assist with the development/delivery of systems/modular enterprise architecture, engineering design, and/or implementation; 2) Problem solve system architectural deficiencies by researching and recommending alternatives for operational/system/technical architecture developments and/or improvements.; and 3) Led a team or project on system architecture integration. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
