Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced Network Architect to support the Traffic Technology program.This role involves creating and implementing advanced network solutions for traffic control systems, evaluating new broadband technologies, supporting incident management, and establishing standards and procedures.The Network Architect will also guide a team of professionals in developing and enhancing large-scale traffic networks, with a strong focus on quality, performance, and innovation.Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and delivery of traffic network solutions as a subject matter expert.
• Provide expert guidance on new network designs and architectures.
• Review proposed network solutions to ensure high-quality delivery aligned with client needs.
• Act as a liaison between project stakeholders and IT, supporting the development of tailored solutions.
• Direct third-party vendors and apply best practices related to traffic networking and technologies.
• Evaluate and recommend traffic technologies and network enhancements.
• Set priorities for design, development, maintenance, and analysis of traffic network systems.
• Support network teams during large-scale outages and troubleshooting efforts.
• Recommend changes in services, protocols, and standards to support future traffic system development.
• Analyze traffic system data to assess performance and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
• Prepare and deliver presentations to large groups and executive stakeholders.
• Perform other related job responsibilities as assigned.Required Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience in engineering projects/systems or IT applications/systems development.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, information systems, computer science, or a related field.
  • Proven expertise in network architecture, with focus on traffic control systems or similar large-scale networks.
  • Strong experience with network equipment including firewalls, routers, and switches.Preferred Qualifications:
    • 2+ years of experience with Traffic Technology or Internet of Things (IoT).
    • 4+ years of experience in public sector environments (Federal, State, or Local Government).
    • 4+ years of experience in preparing and delivering technical presentations.Certifications:
