Techline Construction is seeking a Groundman in Austin, Texas and the surrounding area.Home weekends - Weekly Per Diem - Paid WeeklyResponsibilities include:Perform various manual tasks in the construction and maintenance of overhead power linesAssemble materials on the groundAssist other crew members in filling pole holes and trench using a shovelFlag traffic and set up job sites as directedMaintain organization of tools and materials on work vehiclesClean up and organize job sites at completion of workWhen aptitude is demonstrated and work allows, Groundman will receive training in the operation of some trucks, light equipment, and tools.Skills and abilities:Able to adapt to seasonal temperature changes and inclement weather.Able to meet physical requirements. Actions include but are not limited to, standing, walking, bending, twisting, stooping, reaching, climbing ladders, cutting wire, lifting and maneuvering 90 pounds, and more.Requirements:Must have a valid Class A CDL within 3 months of employmentMust be able to pass a DOT physical and drug testAdhere to company safety and health policies - will receive safety trainingEmployee benefits include:Employer-paid medical/dental/life/disability insurance401(k) retirement planPaid holidaysGenerous paid leaveAnd more!This position is subject to a background check.
