Job Description:
The Role
Facilities Maintenance Planner / Scheduler will be tasked with
various duties including but not limited to writing work orders
based on field diagnosis/inspection, administrative duties,
generating weekly/monthly reports, investigation, and preparation
of work orders for execution and root cause analysis of early
failures. Scope includes all technologies for Facilities. The ideal
candidate has general technical knowledge of all facilities-based
processes and technologies.
Responsibilities
- Managing workload - prioritizing work and ensuring deadlines
are met
- Comply with all site safety and environmental policies
- Evaluation of work orders for assignment/collection of parts,
tools and time required for repair
- Facilities Vendor work coordination/report management
- Cross discipline collaboration to ensure the proper work order
repairs are applied the first time
- Facilities system warranty tracking
- Job plan & Procedure development
- Systematic inspection of core systems along with work order
creation to ensure repair before the failure
- Interface with Spares warehouse, ensuring proper inventory for
one-time repairs
- Interface with various layers of Leadership, highlighting
status of PM/Work Order system and current priority of repairs
- Auditor of PM execution and accuracy. Creation of work orders
based upon PM findings
- Special duties and projects, as assigned or necessary including
coverage of other maintenance supervisors
- Generation of the daily maintenance plan for review and
allocation based upon current Shop condition, determined by
Manager, in consultation with shift Supervisor
- Participates in the training of technicians to ensure proper
repair procedure
- Assist management to coordinate PdM initiatives (Predictive
Maintenance projects)
- Collaborate in the development of data driven projects to
increase Equipment Availability
- Development of Pre-Task Analysis for major repairs and
projects
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Maintenance department to plan
activities for scheduled shutdowns
- Attend daily update meetings with Maintenance Coordinators to
revise/finalize the next days or weeks work schedule
- Attend weekly commissioning meetings
- Assist facilities management on the development of cost
reduction projects Requirements
- 5 years of experience in a technical capacity preferably in a
high-volume facilities environment
- Ability to effectively prioritize with strong time management
skills in a fast-paced environment
- Superior verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work with minimal guidance; Proactive, motivated
self-starter
- Flexibility and ability to handle and manage change effectively
and efficiently
- Data analysis and risk-based decision-making skills
- Lean manufacturing knowledge
- Basic Technical Writing knowledge and experience
- Basic Facilities Maintenance knowledge and experience
- Project Management skills desired
- Manage and Report all maintenance KPIs
- Fill-in for Maintenance Supervisor when needed
- 5 years or more in managing maintenance multi-skilled
teams
- 3 years of Maintenance Planning and Scheduling experience
