BioTeam has an exciting opportunity for you as a Senior Clinical Informatics Consultant!
    As a Senior Clinical Informatics Consultant, you'll lead the development and implementation of cutting-edge, science-driven, Cloud-based, Hybrid, and On-Premises technology solutions for our clients. From pre-sales scoping to design, implementation, testing, and maintenance, you'll help clients achieve their scientific and clinical mission with objective, technology-neutral infrastructure for science.
    To excel in this role, you'll need to be a subject matter expert in clinical informatics systems and practices. You'll work closely with clients to discover requirements and design, deploy, and manage processes, advanced data platforms, EHR and EDC systems, high-performance computing (HPC) and storage systems, and other relevant computing infrastructure. You have a desire to leverage your experience to modernize how clinical data is used so that it provides more robust, intelligent insights. Your deep curiosity about the latest advances in biomedical science and prior experience designing, managing, and linking secure systems for clinical data management, data processing, and clinical data analytics is a plus.

    Technical Expectations
    
    • 
      
    • Develop solutions to address clinical data integration, data management, and computing needs that can work for on-premises, cloud or hybrid environments.
      
    • Communicate data integration and application infrastructure design practices to help guide and influence clinical practices.
      
    • Use modern development practices to support clinical work in regulated environments and in an exploratory context
      
    • Train scientists and technical professionals on clinical informatics concepts and best practices related to managing and processing clinical data
      
    • Provide thought leadership to the industry in the form of blog postings, whitepapers, and speaking engagements
      
      Consulting Expectations
      
      • 
        
      • Act as Clinical Informatics subject matter expert to provide day-to-day project planning, and implementation of multiple projects
        
      • Participate in initial tech review calls and clarify specific requirements of each project, including project scope and objectives, budget, determining the necessary project resources, and technical feasibility -
        
      • Lead or participate in the drafting of project proposals and manage the lifecycle of internal and client document review until the proposal is approved
        
      • Troubleshoot a variety of issues and collaborate with team members on solutions
        
      • Ensure successful delivery of solutions that meet client expectations
        
      • Act as the technical point of contact for clients ensuring communication throughout the implementation and execution of a project
        
        Background and Experience
        
        • 
          
        • Degree in science or engineering fields, with preference for a focus on clinical informatics, bioinformatics, biostatistics, data architecture, or data engineering for life sciences or a related discipline; graduate degree preferred or a combination of education and experience
          
        • 10+ years of experience in informatics with at least 5 years working with clinical and/or regulated data and systems preferred; prior experience in a CLIA diagnostic laboratory, academic medical center, working with medical image data, or research experience with human diseases are all a plus
          
        • Experience with a variety of clinical platforms, which may include electronic health records (EHR), clinical study systems, clinical data warehouses, and open-source EDC systems and databases
          
        • Knowledge of government regulations and guidelines within clinical environments is a huge plus
          
        • Extensive experience leading complex scientific IT projects and project teams -

          Work Environment
          This job operates in an office environment, both in shared and home locations. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. -
          Physical Demands -
          This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to move files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary.
