Job Description:
SUMMARY: The Investment Due Diligence Analyst position is within
newly founded Kestra Investment Management and represents a unique
opportunity to help architect, develop, and inform our investment
offerings. You will perform research of investment products to be
included as holdings within our suite of investment solutions for
the financial advisors that partner with Kestra. Investment
products to be uncovered and researched include ETFs, mutual funds,
separate accounts, alternative strategies, and other investment
products (e.g. - tax management, ESG, tactical
allocation/opportunistic).You will work with our team to ensure all
new and ongoing due diligence is managed to reduce firm risk.
Included in this role is the responsibility to partner with our
Chief Compliance Officer in defining the due diligence
requirements, processes, reporting and documentation, and then
completing the agreed upon process on an ongoing basis. You will
take the lead in due diligence related conversations with product
sponsors, portfolio managers, third-party due diligence providers,
Investment Committee members and advisors. You will also serve as a
leader within the division, building a cohesive team. You will
report to the Head of Portfolio Management RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop ongoing summary reports explaining rationale for your
recommendations for Kestra advisors. Document due diligence report
from data gathered in the analysis at initial due diligence and on
an ongoing basis for recommended products/providers. Actively
participate in Investment Committee meetings including presenting
due diligence materials and providing recommendations. Manage due
diligence filing system and files correspondence and other records.
Coordinate and arrange meetings, prepare agendas, prepare and
reserves facilities and type up minutes from meetings about due
diligence. Maintain books and records requirements. You will be
asked to travel when needed to perform due diligence functions and
support Kestra sponsored events. SKILLS: Knowledge of third-party
databases like Morningstar Direct and FactSet in order to research
and identify investment products and strategies to be used across
our investment solutions. Use independent initiative to identify
relevant investment managers, strategies, and product types and
explain them in easily digestible language Develop visuals to
complement the research Understanding of the unique needs of
fiercely independent financial advisors EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Undergraduate degree from a four-year accredited college or
university Advanced degree or CFA preferred Minimum 3 years of
experience in investments, ideally in a manager research role
within a wealth management context Investment advisory licenses
preferred CERTIFICATIONS: Series 63 or 65, or willingness to
