Infosys is seeking Senior SAP MM ConsultantThis position requires an expert contributing to different phases of the consulting lifecycle. You will be intensely involved in business process consulting; you will define the problem, propose and create the solution. You will also play an important role in the development, configuration and deployment of the overall solution. You will guide teams on project processes, deliverables and contribute to the proposal development, client training and internal capability building and help detail the project scope. You will have the opportunity to shape value-adding consulting solutions that enable our clients to meet the changing needs of the global landscape.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of educationAt least 4 years of experience with Information Technology.Location for this position is Austin, TX. This position may require travel and/or relocationU.S. Citizens and those citizens and those authorized to work in the U.S. are encouraged to apply. We are unable to sponsor at this time.Preferred QualificationAt least 4 years of experience in SAP projects, including 2 years experience in full-life cycle implementation projects in SAP MM.Able to analyze business requirements, providing conceptual and detail design to meet business needs, performing necessary SAP configurations, writing detail specifications for development of ABAP custom programs, testing and implementing the automated solutionStrong hands-on experience in Logistics Execution, EDI/Idoc Integration and system integration areas.Knowledge and hands-on experience of B2b Integration and system to system integration of SAP through EDI/IDOC and other interface methods is essentialExtensive knowledge of SAP custom application programs, enhancements, BADIs/BAPIs, interfaces and user exits is essentialExperience in Master data related projects and Enterprise Portal is desirableAbility to read ABAP codes is required.Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, Analytical and Communication skills.Experience with project management is desired and expected to possess planning and coordination skillsWriting of functional/technical specifications for ABAP custom solutions and interfaces.Experience with in Logistics executionWorking with the business users to define scope and gather business requirementsTesting and rollout of the final productAbility to work independently with minimal supervision and work on multiple projects simultaneouslyBe skilled in working with cross-functional teamsAnalytical and Communication skillsPlanning and Co-ordination skills.The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face.
