We're seeking a Senior Architect to join our growing team in Philadelphia. When you join us you'll have the opportunity to communicate with client/user groups to understand project requirements; prepare client presentations, illustrative design studies and reports. In this role you will contribute to client relationship development, project proposal preparation and interviews. In this role, you'll lead and document early project phases including master planning and conceptual development as well as, prepare drawing and technical specification documentation for schematic through detailed design phases. As a Senior Architect you will adhere to project schedules, scope of services and budgets through thorough coordination with in-house disciplines and external consultants, achieving comprehensive, integrated mission critical project delivery. You will use your expertise to reviews submittals, address contractor requests for information and conduct periodic on-site visits during project construction phase. Additionally, we'll ask you to prepare quantitative data to support cost estimates. Periodic travel to project sites during design and construction phases will be required. Here's What You'll Need: --- Substantial experience in mission critical facility design, including IT, microelectronics or other data driven technology companies as well as academic, governmental, or independent institutions. --- Mission critical client relationship and project experience should include working directly with clients' senior management representatives, managers, technicians, and other stakeholders in determining, developing, and documenting criteria and requirements. --- Strong communication, design and problem-solving skills. --- Bachelor of Architecture degree from accredited architecture program (Masters of Architecture preferred). --- Licensed architect with active registration in at least one US state. --- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Bluebeam Revue, word processing and spreadsheet software applications. --- Advanced knowledge and experience in mission critical design process, construction documentation and administration, materials and methods of construction, model building, life safety and accessibility codes. --- Advanced understanding of structural, mechanical, and electrical systems and their interrelationships. --- Experience supervising the work of other design professionals. --- Able to effectively balance multiple priorities. --- Able to communicate with all levels of project and program management --- Self-driven time management skills; able to work independently and collaboratively; focused on total project success.
