Job Description:
Job DescriptionWe are looking to hire a Production Manager for
our 2nd shift that is starting on August 1, 2022. You will be hired
now for training and will be working our regular shift of 6:00
am-4:30 pm. Once training is complete and the 2nd shift starts,
your schedule will be 1:00 pm-11:30 pm Monday - Thursday.
- Lead the area production team to achieve safety, quality,
service, and cost performance expectations.
- Lead hiring, training, and development of personnel in the area
to maximize retention and productivity.
- Seek and lead continuous improvement activities in the
area.Compensation:$70,000 - $110,000 yearlyResponsibilities:
- Look ahead and set the stage for team success by ensuring
appropriate materials, tools, and staff is present
- Direct and coordinate the activities of production supervisors
and respective teams
- Plan, direct, or coordinate the work activities and resources
necessary for manufacturing products in accordance with cost,
quality, and quantity specifications
- Direct and coordinate the activities of the production team
engaged in cleaning, sanitation, waste handling, and storage
activities
- Confer with other managers/supervisors to coordinate operations
and activities within or between departments
- Develop a healthy working knowledge of manufacturing equipment
in order to maximize productivity, as well as demonstrate equipment
operations and safety procedures to new employees
- Analyze production reports to identify opportunities and lead
to corresponding improvements (e.g. line efficiency, productivity,
waste)
- Develop, train, implement and improve Standard Operating
Procedures (SOPs) to sustain improvement projects
- Review processing schedules and production orders to make
decisions concerning inventory requirements, staffing requirements,
work procedures, and duty assignments, considering budgetary
limitations and time constraints
- Hire, train, evaluate, and discharge staff, and resolve
personnel grievances
- Oversee Employee work restrictions as advised by HR
- Oversees all job material applications and job documentation
and process in ERP for the area
- Manages time & attendance for areas
- Prepare documentation for personnel records to include time and
attendance management, incident reports, and employee counseling
forms
- Strong Knowledge of the company's internal ERP Systems and data
collection
- Provide feedback and production floor management of employee
injuries and safety issues
- Abide by safety and sanitation regulations and follow all work
proceduresQualifications:
- High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence
Certificate) – 4-year technical degree preferred
- 4-6 years+ CPG (preferably food and beverage) manufacturing
experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, and SQF
- Strong basic math and computer skills
- Be on your feet for 8-10 hours a day
- Knowledge of principles and processes involved in business and
organizational planning, coordination, and execution. This includes
strategic planning, resource allocation, manpower modeling,
leadership techniques, and production methods
- Knowledge of inputs, outputs, raw materials, waste, quality
control, costs, and techniques for maximizing the manufacture and
