Job DescriptionMaintenance TechnicianThe Shelter Corporation is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team! The ideal Maintenance Technician will proactively maintain and repair all areas of the apartment community, while displaying a strong sense of customer service. Qualifications for Maintenance Technician at Shelter Corporation:

• High school Diploma or equivalent degree required
• Must live within 35 minutes of the facility
• Physical Requirements for Maintenance Technician:
  • Ability to lift 50lbs
  • Ability to walk, climb stairs, bend, squat and withstand external weather conditions as neededResponsibilities of a Maintenance Technician at Shelter Corporation:
    • Perform light building, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and painting repairs
    • Perform outdoor maintenance duties including:
      • Watering lawns, trees, shrubs and flowerbeds
      • Shoveling walks and sanding / salting icy areas
      • Sweeping walks and curbs
      • Implement proper preventive maintenance measures to ensure the safety and continued comfort of all residents and be readily available in the event of an emergency
