Barlite BLVD and SW Military DriveThe Radiology Technologist
coordinates and performs diagnostic medical imaging procedures for
the x-ray department utilizing computerized medical imaging
equipment.Primary Responsibilities:
- Performs various X-ray and DEXA procedures in providing quality
patient care while consistently displaying outstanding judgment in
film critique
- Operates various radiographic and support equipment during the
completion of procedures
- Abides by safety standards to ensure the protection of patients
during procedures
- Selects appropriate X-ray protocols based on the ordered
procedure
- Coordinates and prioritizes procedures during the workday to
maintain a high level of patient care and continuity
- Ensures that the X-ray department is adequately stocked, checks
equipment status daily and reports any problems that could change
the workflow
- Demonstrates competence to do assigned client care
responsibilities in a way that meets the age-specific and
developmental needs of persons served by the department
- Appropriately adapts assigned client assessment, treatment
and/or care methods to accommodate the unique physical,
psychosocial, cultural, and age-specific and other developmental
needs of each person served
- Upon completion of a procedure, the technologist ensures that
the images have been formatted correctly, films/CD printed if
needed, sent to the PACS and the chart has been given to the
radiologist
- Maintains quality control/quality assurance standards in
accordance with TDH standards and regulations
- Assures that all documentation is accurately recorded and kept
in an organized manner susceptible to instant inspection if
needed
- Performs all other related duties as assignedYou'll be rewarded

you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of AMA approved School of Radiological Sciences or
other accepted and approved equivalent
- ARRT registered and MRT certified by the Texas Department of
Health.
- Must meet -continuing education requirements to maintain
credentials at all times
- Licensed by the Texas Department of Health and meet continuing
education requirements at all times
- 1+ years of experience as a radiology technologist
- This position requires Tuberculosis screening as well as proof
of immunity to Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Tetanus,
Diphtheria, and Pertussis through lab confirmation of immunity,
documented evidence of vaccination, or a doctor's diagnosis of
disease
- Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement of this
role. UnitedHealth Group will adhere to all federal, state and
local regulations as well as all client requirements and will
obtain necessary proof of vaccination prior to employment to ensure
compliancePreferred Qualifications:
- Associates degree in a related field
- 3+ years of experience in a radiology clinic preferred focused
experience performing x-rays
- Radiology Technician, RT, DEXA, MRI, ARRT, MRT, AMA,
C-ArmPhysical & Mental Requirements: -
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to use fine motor skills to operate equipment and/or
machinery
- Ability to properly drive and operate a company vehicle
- Ability to receive and comprehend instructions verbally and/or
in -writing
- Ability to use logical reasoning for simple and complex problem
solving
- Ability to use full range of body motion including handling and
lifting patients
