Engagement Lead, Loyalty/CRM - Strategic Consulting PMG is adding a new, senior role to our Digital Transformation and Consulting team, and looking for a seasoned professional and trusted client advisor to support several marquee brands in need of digital capability acceleration. The Engagement Lead, Loyalty/CRM is a role that will join a team focused on driving digital marketing transformation across enterprise-level organizations amid the shifting landscape of privacy, targeting, and measurement within digital marketing. This individual will have experience identifying opportunities to grow and improve clients' digital capabilities related to first-party data and customer-based marketing effectiveness, and will be tasked with building both strategic roadmaps and trusted, long-term relationships with executive-level contacts across client organizations. Candidates with relevant experience in loyalty and CRM management (in-house or on the vendor side), management consulting, digital transformation, and digital business strategy will be strongly considered. Responsibilities:

  • Act as PMG's subject matter expert on CRM and marketing using first-party data, along with the shifting environment surrounding privacy, targeting, measurement, and optimization
  • Maintain leading functional knowledge of applications in the Martech landscape (Salesforce, Oracle, Adobe, IBM, Google, etc.)
  • Lead end-to-end the direction and day-to-day execution of one or more concurrent client consulting projects related to CRM and Loyalty marketing
  • Deliver a customer-first perspective and view of the customer journey and contact strategies that's accessible to both unfamiliar and technically savvy audiences
  • Discover and analyze all relevant data to produce custom approaches and solutions to business challenges
  • Build strong and lasting relationships with multiple client contacts, especially those at senior and C-levels
  • Develop a detailed knowledge of PMG's services, capabilities, and differentiators, working in partnership with the broader company to integrate customer-based/CRM best practices where applicable
  • Contribute to thought leadership and published materials for PMG Consulting as well as the overall company
  • Operate consistent with established project management and engagement leadership practices across the team through methodology and clear, repeatable processes
  • Manage a team of other consultants and analysts as needed for project work or management
  • Oversight and management of consultative work across client(s)
  • Contribute to and manage RFP responses as part of the Consulting team
  • Cultivate client and industry relationships through content, communication, reliability and relatability
  • Strategically guide the client partnership, including the improvement and further integration of media plans across channels, greater incorporation of insights into plans and vision for the client, and targeting broader business goals (beyond media metrics)
  • Track progress toward goals and commitments at an executive level, and reporting on them to decision-makers both purely to inform them and to drive progress toward greater advancement and engagement extension
  • Navigate the client's internal structure, which will include considerable in-person time, identifying and partnering with key stakeholders on any given project, and facilitating broad communication to eliminate obstacles that may arise from the various complexities of matrixed organizations
  • Play a variety of supporting roles (active and leading vs. passive and on-call) as part of client orgs, the Consulting team, and PMG more broadly Skills & Experience:
    • 8+ years deep experience in omnichannel marketing (direct mail, email, and digital) with at least four years in that capacity in-house at an industry-leading brand for a consulting firm
    • B2C acquisition and cross-selling experience with proven ability to translate data into actionable marketing recommendations, projections, and KPIs
    • Strong database marketing and analysis skills, as well as advanced proficiency in Excel
    • Bachelor's degree from a top-tier university; advanced degree or MBA a plus
    • Fast, accurate, and authoritative analysis, forecasting, and decision-making
    • Deep expertise in digital and marketing along with aptitudes in strategy, customer growth, project management
    • Comfort with ambiguity and broad requests, and able to both clearly validate understanding and answer with concrete projects and industry-leading work product
    • Strong commercial and business acumen
    • Record of lasting, mutually beneficial business relationships
    • Exemplary verbal and written communication skills
    • Leadership ability, especially to drive action without direct authority
    • Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
    • Ability to both individually build and fully delegate to a team the construction of a clear, focused presentation for any audience
    • Skills to communicate and break down complex ideas effectively
    • Strong presentation skills with proficiency in either PowerPoint or Keynote
    • A balanced sense of the immediate and practical against long-term, visionary thinking
    • Experience managing and maintaining customer relationships
