Fitch Ratings is seeking a consultant to analyze US Local
Governments. Understanding of tax-supported credits is required.
The individual will be working with the US Local Governments team,
which covers over 900 Local Government issuers. The US Local
Governments team is a core component of the Public Finance group.
We expect the consulting assignment to be approximately 6 months
with an option to renew.
- Working on ratings analysis and research on new and existing US
Local Government transactions. Evaluating credit structures and
participating in transactional and non-transactional research.
- Identifying relevant trends, assessing their credit impact and
highlighting these trends in updated industry and market focused
- Gathering and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data and
legal documents for the purpose of producing ratings, publishing
credit reports, and contributing to special research reports.
- Meeting with senior management of issuers, investment bankers
and financial advisors, to produce these ratings and reports for
- Bachelor's degree is required and a minimum 5 years of
experience in public finance/utility analysis
- Strong communication and presentation skills as well as
high-quality writing skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced,
- Proficiency in Word and Excel
