Job Description:

Johnson Service Group is searching for a Bidding Estimator for a direct-hire (permanent) position with one of our clients in Austin, TX. The person selected for this role will prepare "bottom-up" cost estimates for Civil Infrastructure projects across the U.S. and Canada. This position is critical to winning new and repeat business. As a Bidding Estimator, you will work closely with the contracts team by supporting them with pricing, costs, figures, estimations, and projections. Ideal candidates will have the following experience:

• 5 years of bidding/estimation experience with civil infrastructure type projects is required (10+ would be preferred)
• Post-construction bidding/estimation experience with roads, tunnels, bridges, highways/transportation or similar civil infrastructure related bids (Pre-construction only experience would be considered)
• Experience bidding/estimating projects in excess of $25 million ($50+ million is preferred)
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management is preferred (experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
• Tech-savvy with HCSS or other estimating software
• Ability to calculate and project financial costs and figures
• Up to 30% travel across the U.S. and Canada is required
