Transportation EngineerAustin TXGeneral Responsibilities:Responsible for design calculations, plans preparation, and schematic designs for TxDOT and local government road and highway projectsProduction of schematics and Plans, Specifications, and EstimatesRequired Education/Licenses:Bachelor of Science Degree, Civil Engineering is requiredProfessional Engineer (PE) licensed in TexasRequired Experience:5-10 years of experience on transportation and roadway projectsProficient in MicroStation and GEOPAKMultiple levels of responsibility are availableMust be flexible to changes in work assignments as changes occur in project needsProven experience in handling multiple tasks and deadlinesStrong communication skills to interact with clients and internal employeesTxDOT precertification desirableStrong experience with scheduling software and Microsoft Office products a plusAbility to work independently and as part of a team, and coordinate with multiple disciplinesExperience in hydraulics and drainage design desirablePhysical & Mental Requirements:Sit for extended periods of time working on computer with engineering design softwareNeeds to move about inside the office for client meetings, meet with team members and support staffActively participates in meetings to follow-up with team members and clientsAbility to accurately work under pressure to meet deadlinesBe able to quickly evaluate conflicting design elementsTo apply please email resume to: rosa.Berry@lkjordan.Com
