Magazine. Neos is currently seeking a System Server Analyst for a
long-term contract with our client in Austin, Texas. The worker is
responsible for all aspects of systems infrastructure including
servers, desktop systems, communications, hardwaresoftware and
office systems. Essential Job Duties Install and support networks,
servers, storage, security systems and configures software,
hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, etc. in
accordance with standards and projectoperational requirements and
in keeping with best practice protocols in protection of data.
Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and
availability of all hardware, networks, server resources, storage
systems, and key processes. Review system and application logs and
verify completions of scheduled jobs including backups. Perform
ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource
optimization and configure CPU, memory and desk partitions as
required. Physical and virtual server configuration and
maintenance. Work successfully with vendors to lead upgrades and
troubleshoot technical issues. Perform network, server and storage
performance reporting to support capacity planning. Process and
policy development to maximize uptime, security, and automation.
Document procedures, configuration and topology. Skills and
Qualifications Experience managing and delivering IT infrastructure
projects, including server deployments, equipment upgrades,
software upgrades, performance analysis, troubleshooting and
remediation. Ability to administer servers, network, and security.
Ability to perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades
and resource optimization. Ability to create, maintain, and update
documentation pertaining to processes. Ability to keep IT
leadership informed of system and operational data center issues.
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong working knowledge and the ability to efficiently operation
all applicable computer software including Outlook, Word, Excel,
and Visio. Minimum Skills Required Years Skills Experience
Bachelorrsquos degree or equivalent experience in IT 5 Gathering,
interpreting, evaluating and implementing server requirements 5
Windows Server Administration 5 VMWare Administration 3 Cloud
experience (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or similar) 5 Knowledge and
understanding of storage area network concepts and connectivity 5
Security best practices 5 Gathering, interpreting, evaluating and
implementing server requirements Preferred Skills Years Skills
Experience MCITP (server Administrator) or MCSA or MCSE 2 Public
Sector experience (Federal, State, or Local Government)SDL2017
