Details:Purpose:Responsible for the cleanliness of the Residence
Halls and UHD Facilities.Responsibilities:
- Clean bathrooms, offices, residence halls, dining halls, and
kitchens. Consistently transport trash and supplies between
floors.
- Respond and follow through with written and oral University and
Housing and Dining policies, procedures, and work-related
instructions from supervisors, team leaders, co-workers and
residents.
- Remove trash from building and take to trash compactor
outside.
- Vacuum, shampoo, and extract carpets.
- Strip, mop, and wax floors.
- Move and arrange furniture.Required Qualifications:
- Six months of experience in custodial maintenance work.Relevant
education and experience may be substituted as
appropriate.Preferred Qualifications:
- Six months of janitorial experience in a large
institution.
- Six months of experience with vacuum cleaners, buffers, and
floor machines.
- Six months of experience stripping and refinishing vinyl tile
floors.
- Demonstrated ability to receive, respond, and follow through
with verbal work-related instructions from supervisors, customers,
and co-workers.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.Salary$18.00 per
hourWorking Conditions
