.PurposeAssist in the supervision of custodial staff performing
building cleaning. Perform cleaning work using standardized OS1
cleaning procedures. Hiring decision contingent upon applicant
clearing a background check.Responsibilities
- Work in all University buildings. Lead employees in
accomplishing work to further the mission and goals of the
department, inspect completed work to ensure correct and timely
completion, and assist Building Attendant Leader with
administrative tasks.
- Perform general cleaning according to schedule and for trouble
calls, remedial services, and client requests.
- Lead and perform work according to team cleaning
guidelines.
- Secure buildings and rooms on schedule and/or after cleaning.
Follow correct unlocking, locking, and alarm procedures. Follow key
control/access card procedures and guidelines. Carry UT ID at all
times during working hours.
- Set up table linens and other items for special events. Provide
on-duty cleaning and event support. Clean after emergencies.
- Periodically assist in supervising the accomplishment of
special custodial projects or preparing buildings for special
University events. Other related functions as assigned.Required
QualificationsExperience following basic work instructions. One
year of experience in custodial, environmental services,
hospitality, warehouse, production or facilities maintenance.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to read and write work materials and follow written
instructions. Desire to work on a team. Stable work history. Must
have a reliable means of communicating with the department outside
of work by phone.Relevant education and experience may be
substituted as appropriate.Preferred QualificationsMore than two
years custodial experience in any of the following fields:
custodial, hospitality, environmental services, warehouse,
production or facilities maintenance. Some experience in
supervising, training, inspecting and scheduling custodial work.
OS1 experience. Successful completion of the OS1 Comprehensive
Certification Program.Salary Range$39,520Working
ConditionsEnvironmental Demands:
