PurposeThe Mechanical Systems Engineer designs, implements, and executes research related to advancing semiconductor technology and manufacturing.Responsibilities
        • Designs, fabricates, assembles and tests equipment systems.
        • Creates and maintains up-to-date CADs of equipment systems.
        • Assists with researching and procuring various equipment sub-systems.
        • Compiles reports on costs and inventory levels.Required Qualifications
          • Master's degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, robotics, controls, precision systems engineering, or other relevant discipline.
          • Three years of relevant experience, including at least one year of prior work experience in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, robotics, controls, precision systems engineering, or other relevant disciplines.
          • Prior experience with standard aspects of equipment development, including CAD software, and modeling and simulation software.
          • Goal-oriented and demonstrated ability to prioritize and multitask.
          • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
          • Ability to work well in teams.Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.Preferred Qualifications
            • Advanced degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, robotics, controls, precision systems engineering, or other relevant disciplines.
            • Prior experience in nanofabrication, precision machine design, mechatronics, systems and controls, instrumentation, or optical systems design.
            • Experience working in a research or start-up environment.Salary Range$95,000 + depending on qualificationsWorking Conditions
              • Work is performed on-site in a scientific research environment, with dynamic work conditions and frequent interruptions.
