About the team:
LS Power Grid (LSPG) is a leading advocate for transparent and competitive processes to plan, build, and operate transmission infrastructure. As our successes in competitive transmission grow, we are growing and maturing our asset and work management functions to provide better scalability and drive efficiencies in work planning, scheduling and execution.
What you will do



  • Create maintenance schedules and generate work orders


  • Collaborate with Supply Chain to maintain parts inventory


  • Create maintenance manuals that proceduralize common work tasks


  • Estimate costs of labor and material for planned work


  • Adjust schedules to account for unexpected emergency work


  • Assist and support the asset management team and the transmission system maintenance managers


  • Serve as a liaison between operations and supply chain services


  • Maintain records and files essential to maintenance management


  • Coordinate with maintenance staff, contractors, and external vendors


  • Prepare preventive and corrective maintenance plans that are aligned with the organization's maintenance goals


  • Manage contractual relationships to with key service providers


    We want you on our team because


    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in electric transmission system maintenance


    • Broad knowledge of transmission maintenance practices for high-voltage apparatuses, AC and DC distribution equipment, protection and SCADA systems, transmission lines, and Right of Way, facilities and fleet equipment


    • Knowledge and understanding of applicable NERC compliance standards and electric utility business operating practices a plus


    • Pass a 7-year background check


    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook


    • Have experience working in a CMMS software such as Maximo, SAP, etc


    • Be able to work within the requirements of a regulated utility


    • Effectively manage multiple assignments occasionally under time constraints


    • Collaborate effectively with a diverse team


    • Solutions focused team player


    • Excellent time management and organizational skills


    • Strong written and verbal communication skills


    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills


    • Work independently with direction on a regular basis


    • Ability to learn new software as necessary


    • Occasional travel may be required, approx. 25 %
