Position Title: Quality Supervisor

Department:Quality
Reports To:Quality Manager

Description:

The Quality Supervisor is responsible for the product or service provided they meet both external and internal requirements. The Quality Supervisor is responsible for the organizational quality policy, quality system, product quality performance, and quality management. He or she assumes the overall responsibility to drive product quality, lead lean manufacturing and 6 sigma activities. The Quality Supervisor is also responsible to work with other managers throughout the organization to ensure appropriate function of the quality system. The Quality Supervisor is also responsible for the coordination and supervision of QA and QC teams, resolution of product issues, and customer support.
Responsibilities:

• Developing and executing quality objectives, fulfill all quality targets within budget and support business needs
• Promote quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization
• Assessing product specifications, ensuring compliance with national and international standards and legislation
• Identifying relevant quality related training needs and delivering training
• Identifying, establishing and maintaining product, process control plans, procedures and methodology
• Conducting quality performance analysis reporting and driving corrective actions
• Interacting with customer, supplier and third party relating to quality issues
• Ensure great customer relations are developed and maintained, communicate customer expectations to the organization
• Managing engineering change activities to ensure ECN's are processed seamlessly
• Lead/coordinate cross functional teams on product launches, apply lessons learned to continuously improve process
• Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the Canadian Solar Solution Code of Business Conduct
• Support ISO 9001 activities
• Adhere to all environmental, health and safety rules and policies
• Conduct other duties as required
  
  Qualifications and Experience:
  
  • Minimum 4 years university education with Bachelor Degree, special consideration is given to formal Quality Accreditation's (ASQ/AIAG) and technical courses completed (Auditor, etc.)
  • Minimum of five years' experience in Quality capacity with at least two years in a management position
  • Exceptional organizational abilities with task prioritization, multi-tasking, use of timelines and time management techniques
  • Demonstrated ability to apply lean manufacturing, good current working knowledge of AIAG standards (PQP, PPAP & PFMEA especially)
  • Demonstrated organizational skills with strong oral and written communication abilities
  • Quality Control background including problem solving and root cause analysis
  • Strong leadership abilities and confident, consistent decisive personality
  • Must be able to work with little supervision; must be self-directed
  • Able to communicate, build and maintain lasting relationships with corporate departments, key external stakeholders
  • Effectively practice ethics and integrity, enforce laws, rules and regulations
  • Desire for innovative thinking, continual learning, and continual improvement
  • Computer literacy, including effective working skills of MS Office and e-mail required
