Principal zSeries Software Engineer - Austin, Texas
We're looking for an Principal Software developer candidate with experience in IBM zSeries including DB2, IMS and VSAM, to join our team in Austin, Texas (Hybrid).
You will report to the VP -Product Development.
You will be someone with at least 10 years zSeries experience including excellent Assembler programming and knowledge of at least one of IMS or DB2 databases

Your Role Responsibilities? Here's What You'll Do

• 
  
• Deliver and maintain demanding zSeries Assembler code including APFs, SVCs, multiple address spaces etc.
  
• Participate in IMS and DB2 related projects, with particular focus on Change Data Capture
  
• Collaborate with peers, including QA team, architects, and product managers
  
• Work with customer support organization in delivering emergency bug fixes and patches on an as needed basis
  
• Reporting to the local development leader.
  
• Learn additional capabilities, for example, additional programming languages
  
  What We'd Like to See
  Good working knowledge of the following is definitely an advantage
  Cobol, C, C++ VSAM and CICS Java
  Role Essentials
  
  • 
    
  • Preferably BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related fields.
    
  • Experience using zSeries Assembler programming
    
  • Experience using IMS and/or DB2 databases
    
  • At least 10 years relevant experience

    • Minimum 8+ years of relevant professional experience
