Service Chief of Otolaryngology Texas Childrens
Texas Children's Hospital is building a state-of-the-art children's and women's hospital in North Austin, Texas, opening in early 2024. Initially, 52 inpatient beds will be available, including a Neonatal ICU, and Pediatric and Cardiac ICUs. Services planned include Heart Center, Neurosurgery, Neonatal Surgery, Fetal Center, Women's Unit with Labor and Delivery and Operating Rooms, and all major Pediatric Surgical Subspecialties. Texas Children's Department of Otolaryngology is creating an Austin Division to provide high quality, state of the art care in all these areas.
The Opportunity:

• Provide leadership, support quality and safety, lead and maintain clinical excellence and innovation, and serve at a clinical, leader and administrative capacity within the division.
  
• Oversee the opening and growth of the facility and department.
  
• Primary responsibilities are patient care with the encouragement of sub-specialty interests within pediatric otolaryngology.
  
• The North Austin Campus will provide a full scope of care for both pediatric and women's services.
  
• Additional range of care includes services with multiple specialty teams including cochlear implant, vascular malformations, thyroid, head and neck tumor, velopharyngeal insufficiency, voice, and complex sleep teams.

  Requirements:
  
  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years experience post fellowship training.
    
  • Comfortable with the management of a growing group of otolaryngologists.
    
  • An academic record consistent with appointment as an assistant level or associate professor is desired given TCHs affiliation with Baylor. However, this is NOT required for this position.
    
  • D. or equivalent, Fellowship in Pediatric Otolaryngology, and be BC/BE in Complex Pediatric Otolaryngology.
    
  • Must be eligible to obtain or already hold an active Texas medical license.
