Magdalena honors our spring-fed culture and the community that
grows near it. The design of the 89-room hotel honors the local
lake house ethos of the 1970's, situated amongst rolling grounds
and natural beauty inspired by Texas. The Magdalena is home to a
restaurant and poolside bar, and several other spaces for hosting
events and hanging out. The hotel is located on Music Lane just off
South Congress.Hotel Magdalena is proud to be a part of Bunkhouse,
which is a hospitality company created by hotelier Liz Lambert that
believes in inspired design, connection to place and the value of
community. Bunkhouse has designed and developed a celebrated
portfolio of hospitality projects including Hotel San Jos--, Hotel
Saint Cecilia, Austin Motel, and Jo's Coffee in Austin, Hotel
Havana and Ocho in San Antonio, El Cosmico in Marfa, Texas, The
Phoenix in San Francisco, California, and Hotel San Cristobal in
Baja, Mexico.We're looking for someone with: * High School diploma
or general education degree (GED), College Degree in Human
Resources, Business Administration or similar preferred* Two (2)
years related experience in the Human Resources or related
Administrative fields.* Must be fluent in Spanish* Ability to read
and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and
maintenance instructions and procedure manuals* Ability to write
routine reports and correspondence* Ability to speak effectively
before groups of co-workers and sister property staff* Ability to
create documents in Excel, PowerPoint and Word* Ability to
understand other computer programs (i.e. Property Management
System, Payroll and HRIS systems)* Ability to apply concepts of
math including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and
algebra, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals* Must
maintain confidentiality, remain open to others' ideas and exhibits

Responsibilities: * Adhere to all standards of operations, policies
and procedures, manuals, training material, memos and verbal
instruction* Resolve inquiries regarding Human Resources for Hotel
Magdalena employees* Translate documents and interpret meetings and
phone calls as necessary* Coordinate hiring process for Hotel
Magdalena including posting positions, scheduling interviews,
reference checks, background checks as necessary and onboarding*
Responsible for I9 Compliance* Coordinate employee events, rewards,
and recognition programs including birthdays, anniversaries,
holidays, special occasions, etc.* Maintain awareness of
documentation needed and retained in employee files* Assist in
policy interpretation* Assist in payroll, benefit and other HR
program audits* Ensure employee reviews are conducted accurately
and in a timely manner through monthly audits and follow-up*
Enforce Human Resource guidelines and property expectations set
forth by the Bunkhouse Human Resources* Assist in legal reporting
obligations including, but not limited to OSHA, 401k, annual
healthcare census, EEOC, Office of the Attorney General Requests,
