Job Description:

What you will do:
--- Perform highway traffic noise assessments for state DOTs
--- Build traffic noise models in GIS and FHWA's Traffic Noise Modeling software
--- Perform qualitative and quantitative Air Quality analysis for state DOTs
--- Effectively utilize available tools to document project-level compliance with National
Environmental Act (NEPA) laws, regulations, and guidance
--- Summarize findings in technical reports and prepare environmental documentation under
the direction of more senior staff
--- Assist in the preparation Public Involvement and Outreach materials
--- Support and collaborate with the Environmental Planning and Permitting team on other
related duties as necessary
Our preferred candidate will have:
--- Experience in the Transportation or Environmental industry preferred
--- Ability to independently research, summarize, and disseminate technical information to a
general audience
--- Experience with Esri's ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online technology
--- Ability to work with different types of spatial and non-spatial data
--- Ability to learn and work with GPS hardware, sound meter instrumentation, and mobile
GIS software for field data collection
--- Attention to detail
--- Bachelor's Degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Cartography, Computer
Science, or related field
--- Minimum of one year of professional experience in GIS
Travel: 10% per year
