Zurich North America is looking for an experienced Data Governance
Tooling Specialist to join our growing Data & Analytics team based
out of our North American Headquarters in Schaumburg, Illinois.
While this position will be based out of our Schaumburg
Headquarters, we are offering the flexibility to work both in the
office and remotely. You will collaborate with your manager to set
a schedule that supports you, your customers, and the team. While
Schaumburg is preferred, we are open to 100% virtual from your home
with the understanding that occasional travel to Schaumburg will be
required.
The Data Governance Tooling Specialist is responsible for
representing the business interest in the effective implementation,
maintenance and optimization of a data governance tool designed to
adequately reflect, streamline and widely distribute the data
governance program at Zurich.
As part of our growing team, your contributions will directly
improve governance, data literacy, data quality and end-user
experience. You will assist in both defining the framework for our
new data governance team, as well ensuring its most effective and
efficient representation in the tooling. This team is part of the
Chief Data Office organization; however, a key part of this role
will be to establish working relationships with technical and
business leaders throughout the organization both in the US and
abroad.
This Collibra Lead is also responsible for the following:
Collaborating with key stakeholders to define the vision and create
roadmap for the for the data governance tool implementation,
maintenance and optimization
Collaborating with key stakeholders and other prospective users to
understand and anticipate their needs and translate them into user
stories and product requirements
Managing the product backlog and prioritizing it based on road map,
deliverables, and changing requirements
Monitoring and evaluating product progress at each stage of the
process
Liaison between the data governance tool and other end-users to
deliver updates and changes in the product launch and subsequent
releases
Participating in Scrum meetings and product sprints acting as the
primary contact between the scrum teams, data governance department
and other stakeholders
Set appropriate metrics to determine data governance tool impact
and success, tracking progress over time
Coordination with technical teams for system integrations and
automation with the governance tool
Responsible for reporting on data governance KPIs
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and 5 or more years of experience in the Data
Management areaOR
High School Diploma or Equivalent and 7 or more years of experience
in the Data Management areaAND
Experienced in data interrogation, data profiling or data
modeling
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience with Collibra Data Governance Tool required
Prior experience in generalized data governance strongly
preferred
Insurance experience preferred
Agile product owner experience strongly preferred
Ability to prioritize effectively
Ability and experience to champion data literacy and quality as
foundational to ongoing success for the organization
Ability to work independently and interact effectively as part of a
team
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Advanced Microsoft Office skills
Compensation for roles at Zurich varies depending on a wide array
of factors including but not limited to the specific office
location, role, skill set, and level of experience. The
Compensation provided is a nationwide market range and has not been
adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with
the location where the position may be filled. ---As required by

Other rewards may include short term incentive bonuses and merit
increases.The starting salary range for the position is:
$101,000.00 - $138,800.00.
