Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) Office of Student Life
daily operations, including management of 35+ McCombs Affiliated
Student Organizations (MASO), execution of several high-visibility,
major BBA events (Fall and Spring Commencement ceremonies, Gone to
Business, Family Weekend, Faculty Honor Roll, Honors Convocation,
Explore UT, etc.), and the design, implementation and facilitation
of student leadership training and programming.Responsibilities
- Oversee all planning, decision-making and execution for major
BBA student-facing events throughout the year, including
Commencement(s), Gone to Business, McCombs Kickoff, Honors
Convocation, and Family Weekend. Manage corporate relationships and
stewardship for events. With the support of the full Student Life
team, oversee all logistics including purchasing, reservations,
Official Occasion Expense Forms (OOEFs), publicity, and full budget
oversight for 6-8 major events throughout the year.
- Oversee all McCombs Student Affiliated Organization (MASO)
activities, administration and advising. Serve as UBC Staff
Advisor, and advisor to other MASOs as needed. Manage high-level
and high-impact MASO issues and decision-making (conduct
resolution, issues with company donors, etc.). Guide relevant
Student Life staff in the execution of MASO program administration,
oversight and best practices. Ensure MASO Budget practices are
followed by working closely with OSL Administrative Associate.
- Oversee the OSL team in assessing the need for and executing
leadership development programming for BBA students and student
leaders, including the design of curriculum/content and leading and
facilitating sessions as needed, alongside other team members.
Leadership activities may include seminars, workshops, case
competitions, and other programming as it aligns with BBA strategic
plan and goals. Generate ideas for new funding support for such
programs from corporate or individual donors and entities.
- Supervise staff (1 Sr. Program Coordinator, 1 Program
Coordinator, and 1 Administrative Associate), and provide
leadership direction and guidance to areas they manage. Build and
maintain team morale.
- Set priorities for and manage the daily operations of the
Office of Student Life (OSL). Ensure the BBA student population's
needs are met related to services provided by the Office of Student
Life. Represent OSL on panels and in meetings within the office,
school, and across campus. Consult with and advise BBA Director of
Student Affairs on OSL strategy, needs, challenges, and
opportunity. Oversee OSL operational budget.
- Other related functions as assigned.Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in education, counseling, or a related field
and 5 years of experience in program coordination and/or student
affairs in a higher education setting; or Bachelor's Degree and 7
years of experience
- Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a
team-oriented collaborative environment
- Previous experience with facilitation, training, development
and program management
- Demonstrated conflict resolution skills and managing
relationships with students, faculty and staff.Relevant education
and experience may be substituted as appropriate. Preferred
Qualifications
- Previous work experience in student development in a higher
education environment.
- Previous supervision experience.
- Demonstrated success in solving difficult problems and
navigating a highly complex organizationSalary
- $65,000Working Conditions
- Works in standard office conditions.

- Typical Work Shift is Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm. Evening and
weekend hours will be required during peak periods and special
