MAIN CAMPUS----Job Details:PurposeThe position of Reading
Interventionist is responsible for serving as a reading
intervention teacher for elementary-age students for a federally
funded research project in the Meadows Center for Preventing
Educational Risk at The University of Texas at Austin. This
position includes teaching daily reading intervention to students
using a structured reading program, periodic assessment of student
progress, and planning for differentiation of
instruction.Responsibilities
- Teach daily reading intervention to small groups of students
using a structured reading program with high fidelity and
quality
- Plan for differentiation of instruction
- Administer group and individual assessments to students
- Document student attendance and behavior
- Attend team meetings and maintain communication with project
coordinatorsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree with at least
two years of prior experience working with children. Daily access
to transportation to schools in Hays County is required. Daily
availability during regular school hours.Relevant education and
experience may be substituted as appropriate.Preferred
QualificationsPrior experience teaching reading/ELA in K-12
setting. Prior experience administering individual assessments to
children.Salary Range$25 per hour, up to 19 hours per week.Working
