Job Description:

Technical Expert (LL6) position leading technical design and development of Aluminum Structures in our Ford BEV and ICE propulstion systems.

• Author and maintain Aluminum structural design engineering specifications
• Author and maintain Structure Design rules and RQTs and associated health charts
• Co-Lead technical peer reviews with component supervisor
• Mentor structural D&R engineers across the various global regions
• Create/maintain Generic FMA documentation
• Support problem solving efforts and risk assessments for warranty, transmission plant, DV/PV issues
• Conduct machining, assembly and test manufacturing process reviews and recommend best practices
• Conduct benchmarking to optimize structural designs for future programs
• Work with systems teams to drive SSDS updates as it pertains to structural components and cascade down to component level engineering specifications.
• Provide Technical leadership to broader Underbody Systems engineering teams.
• Continue to develop and leverage cae modelling capability to optimize quality, maximize efficiency and minimize cost
• Create and Conduct training sessions
• BS-Engineering required
• • MS-Engineering preferred
  • • Extensive component engineering design & release experience in aluminum structures including specific experience with BEV, Hybrid and ICE housings
    • • Extensive experience creating and managing DFME/PFME/SCAFF/prints of complex castings
      • -Extensive knowledge and experience with CAE tools to analytically design complex castings.
      • • Extensive knowledge & experience with associated supplier manufacturing and quality casting processes, aluminum machining and assembly.
