We have an opportunity for you!Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases, is seeking an experienced Electronics Customer Quality Specialist.The Electronics Customer Quality Specialist will report to the South Sub Region of Americas IG, reporting to the Intel Global Strategic Account Manager.This position will be based in Austin.The Electronics Customer Quality Specialist is responsible for managing and executing all customer interfacing quality activities for bulk gas (Nitrogen, Oxygen, Argon, Hydrogen, Helium, and Carbon Dioxide). The position requires executing and maintaining programs to ensure that the products and services provided by Air Products meet the expectations of our customers. Some of these customers operate globally across different geographical regions, hence this position will require cross-regional interaction internally and externally with the view of maintaining consistency of the products and services supplied across these regions.This position will be the primary contact for any customer product quality issues and concerns.Lead customer and supplier product quality issue resolution. Monitor and measure complaint issues.Develop, implement, and manage customer quality roadmapCollaborate with internal stakeholders to create a plan to meet customer's expectationsDrive the execution plan to closureHandle changes in expectationsMonitor, measure, and report the health and effectiveness of the various programs to meet customer's expectations with an eye on continuous improvement, inclusive of but not limited toCustomer-facing and internal product related quality trend reviewsMaintain robust customer business continuity plan by ensuring sufficient product sources are qualified and in good standing statusMaintain product related quality databases to support technical information inquiriesMaintain proficiency on the customer's supplier interfacing quality tools and applicationsHandle Customer Product Qualifications and Product Quality Out of Control/Out of Trend issuesCoordinate and communicate to customers Change Control notificationsLead supplier product source quality audits from planning to closeoutAlign on audit details with customerWork with internal stakeholders to create an assessment preparation planCoordinate all customer meetingsEnsure right internal participants are prepared for any customer meetingsReview the audit closeout report, align with customer to ensure the report is accurateWork with internal stakeholders to create a plan to address all major and minor gaps identifiedDrive the execution of the plan to closureProvide customer regular update of plan progressTravel: Position may require some travel within North America for customer visits and to support internal training and quality audits.Principal Accountabilities that attribute to our four guiding principles (Safety, Simplicity, Speed, & Self Confidence)Minimum QualificationsTechnical degree in engineering, science, metrology, statistics (chemical engineering or mechanical engineering preferred) or related technical program5+ years of relevant Quality, Project, Engineering or Operations experiencePreferred QualificationsExcellent interpersonal and communication skills and strong presentation skillsStrong organizational, planning, and implementation skillsDetailed oriented, strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skillsData driven, resourceful, and self-motivated with the ability to work on multiple activities and projects in an organized and timely mannerAble to work effectively across internal and end customer teamsOperational experience in industrial gas, specialty gas/chemicals, or semiconductor industryApplied experience with ISO management systemsPassion for quality excellence, service-oriented, and responsive, act with urgencyChallenge the boundaries of existing norms to create opportunities to strengthen relations with our customersAt Air Products, we work in an environment where diversity is essential, inclusion is our culture, and each person knows they belong and matter.
