**Company :**Allegheny Health Network**Job Description :****GENERAL OVERVIEW:**This job acts as staff leader and technical expert for revenue cycle Cash Application functions by identifying training needs, resolving work issues and technical problems, monitoring daily work flow, and reassigning work as permitted to maintain appropriate levels of productivity; contributes to Cash Application revenue cycle by meeting goals for cash posting, cash collection, internal and external compliance, customer confidence, and patient satisfaction.**ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES**+ Accurately and completely produces, processes, collects, and/or posts daily transactions or other designated functions in a timely manner with minimal direction from management. Maintains competency, meets work standards, and maintains proficiency to perform these daily transactions and functions. (25%)+ Assists in leading and openly supporting management in all departmental and organizational initiatives to achieve departmental goals. Completes special projects timely and accurately. Shares expertise in assigned functions with less experienced staff, and assists in their education and training. (25%)+ Proactively identifies, communicates, quantifies, and monitors account detail or workflow process for barriers in work environment. Recommends process improvements or courses of action for problem resolution to management. Quantifies or trends issues that recur in order that management may correct issues from point of origin, and assists with implementation of such measures. (25%)+ Cooperates with and maintains excellent working relationships with patients, fellow staff from PFS, AHN, and designated external agencies or vendors. Performs any written or verbal communication necessary to exchange information with designated contacts and promote working relationships. (25%)+ Preforms other duties as assigned**QUALIFICATIONS:**Minimum+ High School / GED+ 5 years with Healthcare patient accounting+ 3 years in an accounts receivable environment, preferably in the health care or insurance field+ 3 years with payment application, billing and reconciliation with remittance processing, or in a similar medical billing or customer service role.+ Experience in healthcare billing or insurance follow-up.+ Analytic problem solving skills+ ?Attention to detail+ Ability to maintain a thorough knowledge of third-party payment application requirements and regulatory guidelines.Preferred+ Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administrative, Accounting, Finance or related field+ Microsoft Office**_Disclaimer:_** _The job description has been designed to indicate the general nature and essential duties and responsibilities of work performed by employees within this job title.
