We want you to apply!Job Summary of the Lead Vascular TechnologistThe Lead Vascular Technologist is responsible for the day-to-day clinical, technical and operational functions within the Ultrasound department. This includes, but is not limited to, the efficient, effective procurement, utilization and stewardship of all technical, physical and human resources. Ensures compliance with patient care quality standards as it relates to care provided to all age groups. Maintains performance improvement activities within the department and participates in CQI activities. Assures competency of all personnel. Must be capable of developing, interpreting and administering all policies, procedures and protocols of the department. Must maintain efficient and effective department operations while maintaining compliance with all JCAHO, state, federal and local regulatory laws, standards and practices. Must possess critical thinking skills and be capable of assuming complete departmental authority and responsibility in the absence of the Manager and/or Director. The Lead Vascular Technologist is responsible for performing Ultrasound exams in accordance with standards and practices set forth by the ARDMS, CCI and Radiology Department policies and procedures. The Lead Vascular Technologist demonstrates knowledge of human anatomy, disease processes and functions, patient care, positioning, principles of Ultrasound sciences.Qualifications of the Lead Vascular Technologist EDUCATION:
    • Associate's Degree in Diagnostic Ultrasound or certificate of completion from an accredited school of Vascular Ultrasound EXPERIENCE:
      • At least two years of experience in Vascular Ultrasound is required LICENSED/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:
        • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical
        • Sonography (ARDMS) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) with Cardiovascular
        • Credentialing International (CCI)
        • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) with American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) with Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
        • Current BLS certification as required per St. David's HealthCare policy This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).Heart Hospital of Austin, which is part of St. David's
