Anticipate 20% of role consisting of the following
--- Formulate and convey leadership vision and nurture group
--- Manage Subsurface Utility staff team across multiple
--- Allocate staff and resources to ensure that objectives are met
within budget and on schedule.
--- Direct recruitment and assignment of project personnel.
--- Develop processes and workflows to continuously improve
delivery of quality data.
--- Provide mentoring and staff development opportunities.
--- Recognize outstanding performance and correct substandard
performance of direct reports.
--- Initiate, prepare and review proposals and participate in
--- Develop, review, and obtain confirmation of financial status
and project delivery schedules.
--- Establish and maintain quality assurance plans and performs
quality control tasks.
--- Travel to and coordinate with Jacobs projects nationally.
--- Maintain technological resources used by the group and
investigates emerging technologies.
Anticipate 80% of role consist of the following
--- Understand the project goals, scope of work, and client
--- Work in a safe manner
--- Follow department and project quality processes
--- Perform field investigations in accordance with ASCE 38-02
Standard Guidelines for the Collection and Depiction of Existing
Subsurface Utility Data
--- Operate and maintain utility locating and geophysical
prospecting instruments and equipment
--- Collect data using advanced utility prospecting and geophysical
technologies and applications
--- Create field sketches and maps of field research
--- Assist surveyors during data collection
--- Perform utility surveys in the field using GPS and Robotic
Total Station equipment
--- Enter field data into field or office databases
--- Communicate findings and analysis to engineers and other

Typical salary range for this position is $88,700 to 138,650
annually, and is commensurate with experience relative to the
**Here's What You'll Need:**
--- Proven leadership record in the industry.
--- Proven ability to strategize for growth and articulate clear
vision and direction.
--- Understanding of subsurface technologies including Radio
Detection (RD), Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), Electromagnetic
(EM) and emerging technologies.
--- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
--- Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineering
Intern (EI) preferred.
--- Utility engineering, construction management, relocation and
as-built experience preferred.
--- Ability to travel up to 50% of time.
--- 8+ years of relevant experience in the industry
--- 5+ years of management involving direct client contact and
--- Must have good social, networking, organization, communication
and presentation skills.
--- Ability to pass drug screen and background checks.
