We expertly manage projects nationally in the food and beverage, life sciences, technology, energy and renewables, industrial manufacturing, and healthcare markets, as well as education and commercial property projects in our local communities.Our clients include global pharmaceutical, biotechnology, packaged and consumer goods, oil and gas, and food manufacturing companies who rely on CSM Group for our extensive technical capabilities and customized services to ensure certainty of successful outcomes.SUMMARY:The BIM Coordinator will be part of the Owners Construction Administration Team, site based, implementing a Production Management/Progress Measurement system using 3D Model data (e.g. Bill of Quantities) from the in Building Information Modeling (BIM) Team during preconstruction phase, coordinating all BIM efforts to update 3D model with trades and subs, validating field work/contractor submitted progress and quantities installed, ensuring that submitted progress are in accordance to the project Rules of Credits; discipline quantities are measured and reported correctly as per Contract; assisting with productivity analysis, earned quantities, earned man-hours; and validate additional scope or field quantities deviation issued by contractors forecast and/or change order requests. The work will consist of new semiconductor plant construction facility project so proven experience in this industry is required. The work is heavily focused on civil, structural steel, electrical/instrumentation, fire protection, mechanical and chemical process trade divisions. The candidate must possess leadership and management qualities; both are required to successfully delivery projects, and highly detail-oriented and organized professional with excellent analytic and problem-solving abilities, estimating, quantities take-off and field supervision. As a key leadership skill, the BIM Coordinator must have effective communication skills to build consensus with project team members and trades.As the impact of digital on lives and businesses has accelerated, semiconductor markets have boomed and are on track to be a$1 trillion dollar industry by the end of the decade. It requires at least 40 hours per week with the ability to work more if necessary.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accountable to the development, implementation or recalibration of all aspects of quantity surveying/reporting the progress and performance of ongoing construction work within your assigned construction discipline
  • Setup/adapt a standardized quality surveyor process for accurate field data collection, performance measurements and progress validation and analysis using BIM
  • Directly involved with the BIM Team coordination amongst designer, construction management team, trades over 3D model from front end planning/preconstruction to completion of project execution/construction phases of the project lifecycle
  • Data harvesting and validation of bill of quantities and weighting from design and engineering work packages, BIM Model downloads and fabrication/trades BIM updates
  • Accountable for the alignment of physical completion/earned value (installed quantities), schedule milestone delivery, and project progress reporting
  • Validation of submitted progress from trades are in accordance with the agreed Rules of Credits and method of measurement
  • Perform routine field walk-downs to provide analysis on installed quantities versus reported progress
  • Review progress reports from trades addressing possible areas of concern and support the Construction Management team in developing and implementing mitigation efforts to reflect accurate field progress (Earned Quantities and Earned Hours) driving the Project Schedule Progress
  • Support validation of payment applications, Change Orders, and any T&M work tickets
  • Effective communication with departmental stakeholders for each project while demonstrating exemplary, advanced communications regarding all aspects of the project and how it will affect client operations
  • Participate and provide inputs to progress meetings among trades and stakeholdersMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
    • At least 8 years of related construction management experience and preferably with a professional certification from RICS, PMI, AACEI, or any other Project Management/Construction Management/ Project Controls professional institution.
    • Degree in Construction Management, or a relevant Construction/Engineering degree
    • Strong experience working with Civil, Structural Steel, Electrical/instrumentation, Fire protection, Mechanical and Chemical process Construction trades are desirable
    • Proven experience in BIM software (e.g. Autodesk Naviswork, Revit, etc.)
    • Experience using MS Excel & MS Access for Data analysis and reporting purposes (Graphs & Data visualization, Pivot tables, etc.)
    • Ability to proficiently interpret and understand P&IDs, Drawings, Specifications, and other relevant construction documents
    • The successful QS candidate must haver experience in the design and construction of Semiconductor facilities
    • Experience with projects valued at $50MM and greater
    • Ability to navigate and effectively communicate with cross-functional teams and project stakeholders
    • Strong focus on health, safety and quality
    • Proven experience in Field Data Collection and technically proficient in using IT systems including, but not limited to BIM software (e.g., Autodesk Navisworks, Revit, etc.), Procore, BlueBeam, SharePoint, MS Project, MS Office tools, and other dashboard reporting tools
    • Good communication, facilitation, negotiation, presentation, analytical and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to read, understand, and communicate contract requirements including construction drawings and specifications and site Environmental, Health, Safety Policies.

    • Skilled in the use of industry accepted applications for cost, planning and progress measurement
    • Construction Management background experience.
