Unlike any other organization in the region, the Austin Y has the unique ability to welcome, educate and elevate all, and is committed to creating innovative programs, placesand people.How you will contribute to our Purpose:Under the direction of the Member Engagement Director, the Membership Experience Coordinator is responsible for the development and execution of Welcome Center staff and membership engagement and promotion of the YMCA. This individual is responsible for engaging, and building relationships and partnerships within the staff and community. This person will further ensure that all YMCA standards are being met and/or exceeded as they relate to membership development. - This position works independently under general direction and is expected to determine how to accomplish tasks. - This includes and is not limited to: all aspects of membership, staff training, supervision, and communication.PAY RATE: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour, depending on experienceRewards we offer you:

Lead, implement, and track member experience initiatives including Conversica calls and follow ups, membership tours and follow ups, member retention initiatives, and member engagement events.Lead and oversee Welcome Center team; duties include recruiting, training, and coaching as well as managing schedules through scheduling software - - Respond to member and participant inquiries and concerns in a timely mannerAttend quarterly membership meetings to improve practices at the association and branch levelEnsure all members and participants are being served in accordance with YMCA values of caring, honesty, respect, faith, and responsibilityWhat you bring to the Purpose:
  • Education & Experience
    • Minimum of 21 years of age with a high school diploma, GED or equivalent
    • Minimum of 2 years of customer service or sales experience
    • 1 year of YMCA experience preferred
