Data Architect6 Month Contract to Hire 100% Remote - Austin, TX
This companies Digital Analytics Group is looking to bring on a Data Architect to provide solutions as they look on scaling out their data for other teams and groups. They support other teams within the organization in building out data platforms, as well as looking into Data Governance and how they go about storing data.
Skillset:

• Data Architecture/design experience (ideally on-prem data warehouses
• Back-end systems engineer with strong understanding of data
• Experience with a variety of tools, but specifically Kubernetes, Spark, Kafka
• Consultative personality (good communicator)
• Looking for someone who enjoys data and technology and can see that big picture. They are looking for someone who has a level of interest on where the industry is going what the future is for scaling data.
  Expanding on skills:
  • They will be a back-end system engineer with Data/distributive systems skillsets to design/architect out ways to get data in a cohesive way.
  • Has worked on multi-layered systems
  • AI/ML experience is a plus
  • Kubernetes and Spark experience
  • Need to understand the data ecosystem
  • ETL (extract, transform, and load) experience.
  • Be able to advise on "what the best technologies are to create more functionality."
  • They would be building something like a data warehouse
  • Consultative background is very important
  • Someone with exposure to design.
  • Data Engineer

  • Back-end experience (no specific language)

  • Creating on-prem solutions
