Overview:
AUSTIN, TX (LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY)-Down to earth first-time parents
in Pemberton (78703) seek a FULL-TIME NANNY to help care for their
newborn baby boy, expected to arrive at the end of July. They will
have a baby nurse caring for him during the first few months of his
life. There will be some crossover between the nanny and the baby
nurse for training purposes. Hours are from 9am-5pm Monday-Friday.
They would love to work with someone who is flexible, but their
goal is to have additional babysitters who would be part-time help
during nights/weekends. They would like someone who is open to
traveling with the family on occasion (not a requirement, but a
PLUS!). They generally travel domestically for 2-3 weeks in the
summer and 1-2 weeks during the holiday season. They love to hit
the slopes! Perfect opportunity for any skiers or winter sports
enthusiasts! Private accommodations are provided while
traveling.Duties in addition to complete childcare include light
cooking for the child once he is ready for solids, babys laundry on
occasion, as well as cleaning bottles and other baby items. They
have housekeepers come twice per week, so no heavy cleaning is
required. They have two King Charles Cavaliers fur babies and would
love someone who is willing to help care for them when parents are
not home such as letting out, feeding, checking water, cleaning up
accidents, watching dogs around baby.Both parents work from home.
Mom may return to the office a few days a week after maternity
leave, and dad works from home in a side office, so they will be
home and available when needed. They keep a relatively organized
home and hope that their nanny would be willing to maintain their
organizational systems / put things in their assigned place. They
seek a nanny who carries a good, positive attitude; is proactive
and optimistic; schedule/routine oriented; loves pets; takes a
healthy approach to nutrition and can be decisive in emergency
situations. The ideal candidate has prior infant experience. Extra
credit for medical or nursing experience or a focus on early
childhood development!As first-time parents, they are looking for a
nanny who can share ideas and knowledge but can also follow their
lead and respect and honor their decisions as parents. As a family,
they value respect and empathy for others, assuming good intent,
love for life and being open / curious to all experiences and would
love someone who can share those values with their son.The ideal
candidate is collaborative and vulnerable; not set in their ways.
Someone who is open to feedback and solution oriented. They seek a
nanny who acts in line with how they parent - caring attention,
pausing before accommodating, focusing on the adult as the decision
maker. Someone who carries authority and is open, willing and able
to ask questions when in doubt. A direct communicator will work
well with the parents. They are a type B home and prefer a nanny
who can take direction but not be too rigid. Nanny must have their
own a vehicle / own means of transport. Must be vaccinated for
TDAP, COVID Booster (3rd shot) and be willing to sign an NDA!Pay is
commensurate with experience. They are open to pay for the perfect
fit. Benefits include paid sick days, holidays and vacation, as
