is seeking a driven and talented Cloud Big Data Architect to join
our thriving Cloud Services business unit. You will bring a passion
for technology, a strong technical skill set, and proven experience
in data collection, data organization, cleansing data analysis
support, data lifecycle management, dashboards, and customer end
user authentication / authorizations.**Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:**+ Assist the customer in scoping the required
raw data to be ingested into the cloud+ Assist customer engineering
team in the mechanics of ingestion of potentially very large data
sets+ Assist the customer in establishing event driven processes
(eg, S3 bucket trigger when raw data arrives) that automatically
transform the raw data into an organized and cleansed format ready
for analysis by the customer+ Assist the customer in leveraging
native cloud services to present data analysis summaries via active
dashboards, allowing the customer consumers to dive into the
details of the analysis as necessary+ Advising the customer on
cloud training curriculum for data analysts to sharpen their skills
on the latest tools available in the cloud+ Coordinate with cyber
and the customer on the lifecycle management (including cost
estimates) of the raw data in addition to subsequent lifecycle
management of cleansed data and analysis results+ Coordinate with
Engineering and the customer to determine the appropriate
authentication and authorization model that minimizes NTA
involvement in the enrollment process, and empowers the customer in
self-management of the customer user base, while adhering to DoD
policy**Required Skills:**+ Knowledgeable of the various native
cloud services (AWS or GCC preferred) to assist the customer in
organizing and cleansing the raw data+ Knowledgeable of the various
native cloud services (AWS or GCC preferred) to assist the customer
in determining the type of analysis required, in addition to
supporting the customer in delivering analytic products (to
include, but not be limited to data mining, predictive analytics,
and/or deep learning applications)+ Designing Data Lake solutions
with distributed data storage+ SQL optimization+ Understanding of
DISA Secure Cloud Computing Architecture (SCCA), SCCA Functional
Requirements Document (FRD), and DoD Cloud Computing Security
Requirements Guide (SRG)+ Understanding of DoD security
accreditation process (Risk Management Framework - RMF) (direct
experience with US Navy requirements and eMASS documentation
standards preferred)**_Sample Tool Experience_**+ AWS Quicksight
and/or PowerBI+ AWS Redshift+ AWS Glue and other ETL tools+ EMR
products (Apache Spark, Hive, Presto)+ Sagemaker Notebooks
(Jupyter)**Required Experience:**+ Has deployed a production
application in AWS/Azure - knows CI/CD Agile Software Development.+
Experience in Big Data Processing (ETL) techniques and projects+
Experience working in a UNIX/Linux environment / some networking
experience.+ Hands-on experience with developing, deploying, and
managing serverless AWS applications in a Navy / DoD Cloud context+
Hands-on experience with cloud native data engineering pipeline
development, use, and management+ Production implementation
experience with infrastructure as code for cloud infrastructure
deployment and management (such as AWS Cloud Formation or HashiCorp
TerraForm)+ Solid understanding of engineering trade-offs between
serverless and traditional architectures, including cost,
performance, and scalability+ Familiarity with air frame data
collection mechanisms, common practices, and program / business
usage of the data (this skill is a plus)+ Understanding and
familiarity with machine learning / data science, especially in a
cloud environment for model training, analytics, and other use
cases**Additional Role Requirements:**+ DoD Secret Clearance
