As the Internal Systems Engineer, you own the internal infrastructure and systems required to support the organization's organic and inorganic growth objectives. The ISE leverages technical expertise in the area of end-user engineering to strengthen the reliability, efficiency, and performance of internal and client systems. It is critical that this role be a technical partner to implement established standards and procedures which support our internal and client's managed infrastructure along with ensuring operational stability. This role is responsible for implementing reliable solutions that maintain the integrity of the existing infrastructure as well as optimize both the employee and customer user experience. The ISE will be responsible for overall organization system performance, effective acquisition integration, and data center management.
What You Do: - Coordinate efforts with the Director of Technology to align strategic initiatives, document standard operating procedures, and ensure the application of best practice in project workflow and execution company-wide - Maintain and support the company managed data centers, while providing support to internal business units such as internal system analysis, network analysis, and system & data recovery - Coordinate and lead the design, testing, evaluation, implementation, and support for multiple complex platforms of large size and complexity, including hardware and software, operating systems, systems tools and IT processes - Collaborate cross-functionally to help configure platforms for product installation and maximize the user experience - Ensure platforms/systems conform to established enterprise/industry standards (systems management, security, operating systems, etc.) and reference models.
About: - 10+ years of progressive work experience within an MSP or related field - Preferred certifications include CompTIA A+, CompTIA Security+, MCSA, and MCSE - Technically proficient in all aspects of information technology infrastructure, including workstations and servers as well as firewall, switch, wireless, and storage devices - Deep understanding of today's core technologies, including cybersecurity, networking, and virtualization - Results-oriented and people-focused approach to the supporting internal and external stakeholders

  • This role will be focused on the internal systems for the company and optimizing those systems to the team can operate and do their job well
  • Will be overseeing the Austin data center, onboarding/offboarding (AD and AzureAD), windows, little bit of Linux boxes, Office365
  • Use Hyper-V for virtualization and Veeam for backups, need someone who has some work with Hyper-V
  • Need a strong understanding of networking with vlans, routing, some switching. Currently using pfSense for firewalls
  • Would like some familiarity with Connectwise if possible, or a similar tool
  • They will be moving to the cloud at some point, so that project is on the horizon. Any automation would be a huge plus
