If so, we invite you to apply to GreenBiz Group's Business Development Associate position.We're looking for someone to support the sales team as we expand into new markets, launch new products and cultivate a rapidly growing list of corporate partners and sponsors.Overall compensation (base salary + discretionary bonus or commission if sales) for this role will be provided commensurate with years of experience and qualifications within the following range: $110,000 - $140,000 plus health and wellness benefits.Responsibilities

  • Build a pipeline and manage a sales territory to achieve sales targets
  • Sell thought leadership, branding and networking opportunities to marketing, communications and sustainability leaders at large companies
  • Establish and maintain key senior level relationships with existing customers and prospects
  • Qualify and engage customers and prospects by identifying objectives and conveying a clear value proposition through compelling phone-based and in-person sales meetings
  • Prioritize, create and manage high volume of clear, concise sales proposals by strategically packaging, pricing and addressing customer objectives
  • Demonstrate knowledge and passion for sustainability related topics including green finance and ESG, goal setting and consulting services
  • Collaborate internally and externally while balancing revenue targets with customer service needs
  • Develop compelling email and phone-based prospecting campaigns that are timely and relevant
  • Attend local and national networking events for prospecting and relationship building
  • Maintain and manage all activities in Salesforce and leverage other sales/marketing tools including Linkedin and Marketo
  • Comfort with public speaking, presentations and/or event session moderation a bonusRequirements
    • 2-5 years experience in sales, business development, customer success, consulting or other customer-oriented function
    • Ability to work independently, deliver results and address customer objectives
    • Existing knowledge and contacts in corporate sustainability, green finance, consulting, cleantech and/or related industries a bonus
    • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Maintain an eye for detail, high level of organizational skills and ability to multitask
    • BA or equivalent preferred
    • Experience with the finance industry or consulting space preferred but not required
