The Insights & Analytics team uses research and analytical techniques to identify the insights that our holistic solutions are built upon. Our team members are not bound by research techniques or fancy statistical modeling jargon. We love defining the problems, designing the approach, and interrogating the often complex, multi-sourced, unstructured data to identify fresh insights that lead to uncommon growth opportunities. We deeply value listening to clients' issues and tailoring unique approaches and solutions for their specific needs. We are first and foremost interested and interesting life learners - driven, undaunted, unflappable, and creative.

Additionally, at Prophet, we like to differentiate ourselves with Deep Listening as a qualitative research approach. Deep Listening breaks the constraints of many qualitative methods by setting aside hypotheses and probe points. It focuses on empathy and relationship-building, allowing the respondent(s) to bring their whole selves to the conversation, often uncovering unknowns and semantics that we were not aware of. We encourage thoughtful meandering and time to complete full thoughts, knowing that the true voice and opinions of the audience will surface. We are looking for the right candidate to take our Deep Listening capabilities further, building upon both their previous experience and the foundation that Prophet has laid.
The Senior Insights Associate, Qualitative Methods, will help support our multidisciplinary teams. Some tasks may include:

--- Defining and framing client situations into clear, answerable research questions.
--- Designing and executing primary research using a wide variety of qualitative methods to solve the most challenging problems our clients have.
--- Leading day to day problem solving with senior team members, as well as with client teams.
--- Managing vendors to execute and field often multi-faceted research, often partnering with a quantitative research lead for a mixed-methods project.
--- Participation in IP creation, contributing to firm initiatives, and assisting senior team member with business development as needed.
--- Delivering powerful presentations and reports, integrating multiple media types and/or creating non-traditional deliverables for added impact.

--- An advanced degree (Masters or above), in a social science such as anthropology, sociology, human factors, psychology, etc.
--- Minimum of 3 years' experience in ethnographic, UX, moderation, or other types of qualitative research, ideally in fast paced, client-oriented environments - the ideal candidate will have a combination of client-side, vendor/consultant, and/or agency experiences
--- Deep experience applying cutting-edge market research techniques to solve marketing problems
--- A knack for innovating and introducing new tools, approaches, deliverables, etc., to their clients or organization
--- Experience defining a problem, designing an approach, and leveraging a variety of sources to answer the question
--- Demonstrated problem-solving skills around complex business issues
--- Experience managing and fostering strong vendor relationships
--- Excellent written and oral communication skills, persuasiveness, and the ability to make compelling group presentations

--- Preferred Master's Degree or PhD in quantitative field
--- Preferred experience in fast paced, client-oriented environment
--- Preferred familiarity with digitally sourced data (text analytics, website click data, attribution modeling across traditional and digital media, etc.)
