Partners with Senior, Strategic Planning to execute the development
of all assigned Strategic Planning projects to support internal
corporate business groups in assessing and implementing strategic
growth plans. Perform other duties as assigned.
- Responsible for the development of Feasibility Order of Magnitude
Plans and Conceptual Adjacency Plans to meet capital criteria
required by project. Prepare for project related meetings where
applicable and be responsible for the documentation and follow-up
of action items.
- Responsible for development of presentation quality plans that
adhere to all Macy's guidelines for distribution to Senior
- Responsible to collaborate with internal business partners
including, but not limited to Real Estate, Area Research, Capital
Planning, Senior Management, RDOS, Divisions, and Operations for
all required information to develop plans and program.
- Responsible for overseeing/collaborating with external partners
including, but not limited to, Real Estate developers and project
architects under supervision of Senior, Strategic Planning.
- Responsible for understanding and interpreting sales, trade area
information, and future market trends and incorporating findings
into assigned projects.
- Responsible for implementing scope documentation and
understanding order of magnitude costing exercises.
Qualifications and Competencies
--- Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design or Architecture preferred;
degrees in related disciplines will be considered
--- 4 or more years of architectural or planning experience, with
preferably 2 of these in a retail environment.
--- Effectively communicate and present information in one-on-one
and small group situations to customers, and all levels of internal
and external business partners.
--- Ability to effectively plan and execute strategies.
--- Ability to monitor and maneuver workflow to achieve
--- Traditional 40 hour work week (Monday through Friday) with
occasional flexibility in scheduling as required. Consistent,
punctual, dependable attendance required.
--- Requires periods of walking, standing, communicating, reaching,
crouching and climbing ladders. Involves close vision, color
vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
--- Frequent use of computers and other technology, necessary to
perform job functions
--- Frequently lift/move up to 10lbs
