Oltorf, Austin, TX 78741GENERAL DESCRIPTIONPerforms highly complex (senior-level) supervisory work administering the day-to-day operations, staff and activities of the Family Centered Programs team in the Program Innovation section of the Child Support Division. The Family Centered Programs team consists of programs such as the parenting and paternity awareness program, family violence initiatives, and services supporting special populations engaged in the child support program. This position is responsible for establishing program goals and objectives; developing program guidelines, procedures, and policies; developing schedules, priorities, and standards for achieving program goals; evaluating and coordinating program activities. Provides training and technical assistance to the Family Centered Programs team, oversees program analysis and makes recommendations to management as appropriate. This position requires a positive team-oriented perspective. Additionally, the Family Centered Programs Supervisor position requires the development, management, and implementation of program assignments from start to finish. This position will report to the Manager of Strategic Engagement in Program Innovation. Oversees program analysis and makes recommendations to management as appropriate.Plans, implements, coordinates, monitors, and evaluates the activities of the Family Centered Programs teamMay prepare and conduct trainings, presentations, and meetings for staff, management, and external organizations.Performs related work as assignedMaintains relevant knowledge necessary to perform essential job functions Attends work regularly in compliance with agreed-upon work scheduleEnsures security and confidentiality of sensitive and/or protected information Complies with all agency policies and procedures, including those pertaining to ethics and integrityMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation: Graduation from high school or equivalentEducation: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; experience in the following (or closely related) fields may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis: human services, program administration, social services, program development, child support, prevention, or family centered programs.Experience: 6 years of full-time experience working in the following (or closely related) fields: human services, program administration, social services, program development, child support, prevention, or family centered programs. Two years full-time, wage earning experience in the supervision of employees. Experience in the use of Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent to include word processing, spreadsheet, database, or presentation software programs preferred.Knowledge of the Texas Child Support program, program management, and project management conceptsKnowledge of community resources, state and federal programs supporting familiesKnowledge of the principles and practices of public administration and managementSkill in handling multiple tasks, prioritizing, and meeting deadlinesSkills to establish goals and objectivesSkill to develop and evaluate administrative policies and proceduresSkill to communicate ideas and instructions clearly and conciselySkill in effective oral and written communicationSkill in exercising sound judgment and effective decision makingSkill to coordinate with other staff, departments, officials, agencies, organizations, and the publicAbility to receive and respond positively to constructive feedbackAbility to work cooperatively with others in a professional office environment Ability to provide excellent customer serviceAbility to work in person at assigned OAG work location, perform all assigned tasks at designated OAG workspace within OAG work location, and perform in-person work with coworkers (e.g., collaborating, training, mentoring) for the entirety of every work week (unless on approved leave)Ability to arrange for personal transportation for business-related travelAbility to work more than 40 hours as needed and in compliance with the FLSA Ability to lift and relocate 30 lbs.Ability to travel (including overnight travel) up to 35%PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience: Knowledge of the Texas Child Support Program.Program administration of a state, community or nonprofit organization providing services to parents and/or families.Experience in web content development and/or publication content development.TO APPLYApplications for employment with the Office of the Attorney General (OAG) can be easily submitted through the OAG's Job Postings Page ().
